Muskogee Quilt Show

Yesterday I drove over to Muskogee for their annual quilt show.  I spent the majority of the day in my friend Becky Lambert's booth autographing copies of my book and helping her sell lots of fabric, but that didn't stop me from getting out to see the show.  It's a fairly small show, but was well worth the two hour drive.  Here are some of the quilts that caught my eye.

My friend Lola Jenkins was there with a special display of her work.

This quilt show is always held in April in conjunction with the Azalea Festival.  It was raining when I left the show, but I drove over to the park anyway hoping for a chance to get out and see the flowers.  The rain let up a few minutes after I arrived and I had about an hour to walk around and take pictures before the next thunderstorm moved in.  Here are a few of them.

The park has been hit hard by ice during the last couple of years and many of the bushes had to be replaced.  The new ones are still small, but the color was still breathtaking.

I love that hankie girl quilt. Your friend Lola has awesome stuff. And I'm very jealous things are blooming in Oklahoma. I won't see blooms in Wisconsin for maybe another month. Thanks for the lovely photos!
