It’s officially official

Not only has Darcy shipped and invoiced enough books to pay off the printing bill, she's collected the money to pay it off (and more).  That means when I get my royalty check at the end of this month it will contain some actual profits!

Now, to start planning my second book….

Just remember that you can't spend it in Oklahoma because a profit is without honor in its own country…John

That is seriously a quick turnaround time on getting a royalty check. Much quicker than I had anticipated. It only took 4 months. From Darcy's perspective it's pretty slow as she usually shows a profit withing 60 days. But, then again, she's a known quantity with a traditional product while I'm completely out in left field.

Well, gee. I guess that means I should come down to Houston and spend it all in the quilt stores down there (I'd love to go back to Painted Pony [1]). After all, Texas is a "whole other country." 8:-)[1] You gotta love a quilt shop that's so big they have shopping carts!

I'm not impressed until they have golf carts to move you about the store… There is one in Paducah, KY that's plenty big enough to justify them.
